An Ontario MP is calling Trump’s tariffs total “BS.”
Marcus Powlowski, member for Thunder Bay—Rainy River, says the reason for the tariff makes no sense, according to a social media post.
The U.S. President previously said Canada needs to stop people and fentanyl from illegally crossing the border.
But he says that isn’t happening in any significant amount, and the Americans know it.
Less than 1 per cent of fentanyl crossing into the U.S. comes from Canada, according to government statistics.
Powlowski says we can all do our part by buying things that were made in Canada.
