Millions expected to watch Canada/US 4-Nations final

It’s being called the biggest hockey game in years.

It’s Canada versus the United States in Boston in the final of the 4-Nations Face-Off Thursday night.

The Americans took a fight-filled affair in Montreal 3-1 on Saturday between the teams.

Three fights were recorded in the first nine seconds of the game, featuring Matthew Tkachuk, Brady Tkachuk and J.T. Miller for the Americans against Brandon Hagel, Sam Bennett and Colton Parayko for Canada.

Canada had to beat Finland on Monday to advance to the final, they held on for a 5-3 win.

Nathan MacKinnon scored twice, Connor McDavid also lit the lamp for the second straight game and Sidney Crosby sealed it with an empty-netter.

Jordan Binnington has been Canada’s goaltender throughout the tournament, he’s expected to start again in the final.

As political tension between the countries remains high, we’ll see if the Canadian anthem gets booed.

Some fans in Montreal did boo the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ on Saturday.

It’s the first best-on-best final between the nations in 15 years, when a 22 year-old since Sidney Crosby scored the golden goal in Vancouver.

Now at age 37, he’s leading the tournament in scoring with five points.
