Canada Post to unveil Brian Mulroney stamp

A new postage stamp will feature our country’s 18th prime minister.

Canada Post will unveil its tribute to the late Brian Mulroney in Montreal Thursday, March 20th – on what would have been his 86th birthday.

Mulroney was born and raised in Quebec. He passed away in late February of 2024.

A Conservative, Mulroney served two terms from 1984 to 1993.

According to a statement from the postal service, Mulroney is considered one of Canada’s most consequential prime ministers. He believed that Canadian democracy “is advanced by the collision of great ideas and the articulation of competing visions of the country.”
