Highway 17 in Vermilion Bay has reopened after being closed due to a collision around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Highway 11/17 at Sistonen’s Corner near Thunder Bay has also reopened as of 4:32 a.m. Monday following a separate fatal collision.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the crash happened Sunday around 7:30 p.m., and one person died at the scene.
Road conditions in the area were listed as partially snow-covered at the time of both incidents.
