U.S. president Donald Trump isn’t backing down on Canada becoming the 51st state.
In a post to his Truth Social account, the president encouraged Canadians to vote for a man who can reduce taxes, lift tariffs and eliminate the artifically drawn line, referring to himself.
Liberal leader Mark Carney says Canada will never be the 51st anything.
Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre says Trump should stay out of Canada’s election, and the only people that will decide the country’s future are Canadians at the ballot box.
