Beyond the Scan campaign exceeds its goal

The Lake of the Woods Hospital Foundation says the Beyond the Scan Campaign has met and exceeded its goal of 8.5 million dollars.

The public portion of the campaign was launched on February 12th.

Mira Trebilcock is executive director and says Beyond the Scan exceeded their wildest dreams.

“In just over two months the community really helped to secure that $2 million match and exceed the goal…the $8.5 million goal,” says Trebilcock.

“We never anticipated how quickly that would happen.”

Trebilcock says donations were matched dollar-for-dollar by the FDC Foundation until April 30th.

“I think the match gift was a huge boost for the campaign and the community and to really incentivize participation because everyone’s dollar was going further.”

Trebilcock says they will release the final tally from Beyond the Scan later this month.

She adds the diagnostic suite, which will include the MRI, a new CAT scan unit, and digital mammography, is still on target for a late summer opening.
