Control Board approves a slight increase in outflow from Norman Dam

The Lake of the Woods Control Board says it has authorized another small increase in outflow from the Norman Dam.

That’s because of increasing water levels on the lake.

Despite the increase, lake levels are still below normal for this time of year.

The Control Board says water levels on the Lake will rise about 2 centimeters over the next week and increased about 3 centimeters over the past seven days.

The Winnipeg River below the Norman Dam will rise about 5 centimeters this week, and about 2 centimeters at the Dalles.

The outflow was increased from 275 to 300 m3/s.
