We are four days into Dryden OPP’s Canada Day road enforcement blitz, and the police have already put up some gaudy numbers.
Since the campaign began on Monday, the OPP have conducted 201 traffic stops, issuing:
- 166 speeding tickets
- 19 seat belt infractions
- 2 impaired driving charges
- 2 distracted driving charges
- 2 stunt driving charges
The enforcement blitz continues through Sunday as officers focus on keeping roads safe during the busy holiday travel period.
