For the first time ever, Lake of the Woods District Hospital has achieved an Accreditation with Exemplary Standing.
Every four years Accreditation Canada reviews the sevices and procedures of the hospital to make sure it complies with national standards.
Staff from the agency talk to staff, physicians, board directors, community partners, volunteers, patients and families about the hospital.
This is a voluntary exam, but president and CEO of the hospital Ray Racette says it’s a true achievement to be celebrated, particularly at this challenging post-pandemic period.
A celebration of the accreditation will be held at the hospital on December 6th.
