Health Canada approves Novavax vaccine for COVID

Now that we are in the thick of cold and flu season, a new vaccine for COVID-19 has been approved by Health Canada.

Novavax is for people aged 12 years and older.

Health Canada says the vaccine has also been approved as a booster for those 18 years and older.

It marks the third updated booster alongside Pfizer and Moderna.

but differs from them because it’s protein based, and does not use mRNA technology.
