OPP investigating an assault in Sioux Lookout

One person has been taken to hospital in Sioux Lookout after an assault.

The OPP say it took place Friday morning when they responded to a call on Miller Crescent.

Police indicate a person had been attacked by someone with an edged weapon.

They were taken to hospital by Northwest EMS and remain in stable condition.

The OPP do not believe there is any threat to public safety.
