Stampeders bassist Ronnie King dead at 76

Ronnie King, bassist for The Stampeders has died at 76.

The legendary Canadian rock band announced their co-founder’s sudden death in a Calgary hospital on their Facebook page Tuesday.

Throughout the 1970s, they released classic hit songs such as “Sweet City Woman,” ” Carry Me” and “Devil You.”

Their post went on to say The Stampeders’ upcoming tour will continue as a tribute to King.

The Juno-award-winning group added that “The show must go on… Ronnie wouldn’t have it any other way.”
