Both the U13 and U18 triple A hockey programs in northwestern Ontario will crown their champions this weekend.
The Thunder Bay Kings will take on the Kenora Thistles in best-of-three series.
Both Thistles teams have players from not only Kenora, but Fort Frances, Dryden, Sioux Lookout and the U18’s also have a couple of players from Thunder Bay.
The Northwest Branch Playdowns begin tonight at the Fort William Gardens.
The winner of the U13 series will advance to the provincials in Vaughn, while the U18 champs will represent northwestern Ontario at the Telus Western Regional playdowns in Winnipeg.
The U13’s will hit the ice at 4:30 this afternoon, while the U18’s will play starting at 7:00.

Saturday, March 23-4:30pm
Sunday, March 24 (if necessary) 10:00am
For the U18’s:
Saturday, March 23-7:00pm (6:30 warm up)
Sunday, March 24-(if necessary) 12:30pm (12:00 warm up)
