Team Hoppe will represent Northern Ontario at the National Senior’s curling championships in the fall.
The Kenora rink went a perfect 5-0 and defeated the Kim Beaudry foursome from Fort Frances 6-5 in the final on Sunday.
Team Hoppe is made of skip Lori Hoppe, Shannon Brown at third, second Lisa Penner and lead Jacqueline Ortlieb.
In the men’s final, Team Rosengren out of the Port Arthur Curling Club defeated Team Morissette of the Fort William Curling Club 3-2.
A total of 8 men’s and 5 women’s teams competed in the northern playdowns from March 20th to 24th at the Kenora Curling Club.
