PC’s win two by-elections in southern Ontario

There won’t be any change in the party standings at Queen’s Park.

The Progressive Conservatives won both by-elections held last night in convincing fashion.

The by-elections took play in Milton and Lambton-Kent-Middlesex and were to replace Conservative MP’s that had stepped down.

Zee Hamid won in Milton, just west of Mississauga and fellow PC candidate Steve Pinsonneault took the Tory stronghold of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

The Ford Government will continue to have 78 seats in the Ontario Legislature, compared to 28 for the NDP, 9 for the Liberals and two for the Greens.
