LCBO employees in legal strike position as of midnight

You might want to stock up on wine and other alcoholic beverages.

Liquor Control Board of Ontario employees could be on strike as of midnight.

Today is the last scheduled day for negotiations with the Ontario Public Sector Employees Union.

Due the possibility of a labour disruption, the LCBO says it will be extending hours of operation at all its outlets.

LCBO workers voted 97 percent in favour of strike action last month.

The union is accusing the LCBO of seeking concessions as an expansion of liquor sales is poised for convenience and more big box stores later this year.
