Teddy Bear Picnic generates lots of fun

About 250 people, both young and old, attended the Teddy Bear’s Picnic at the Pinecrest Home for Aged.

The event was held last Thursday morning.

Nurse practitioner Mike Limerick and Assistant Director of Care, Rob Bergman were able to examine and treat at least 120 Teddy Bears and other stuffed animals with varying levels of injuries and ailments.

The Library Children’s Program staff, Kathleen Todd and assistant, led the story time and set up Superhero craft time.

The Teddy Bear’s picnic was put on by Kenora Rotary, the Kenora Public Library and Pinecrest.
