The Superior Junior International Hockey League has new leadership.
Dean Thibodeau has been announced as the new commissioner of the league.
He takes over from Darrin Nicholas, who resigned this past spring.
Thibodeau worked as an Associate Commissioner with the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and Assistant Commissioner of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
Mike Sveinson is vice-chair of the Board of Governors of the SIJHL and says, “Dean’s resume and experience lend themselves ideally to this role and we look forward to a long relationship and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the SIJHL.”
Thibodeau has an MBA from Bowling Green University and brings with him over 15 years of hockey administration experience.
