Volunteers across Canada will plant a tree today

It’s National Tree Day!

More than 3000 registered volunteers are gathering in parks and green spaces today, to plant, remove invasive plant species and increase local biodiversity. That’s almost double the number that took part last year.

Eighteen Canadian communities are taking part on September 25 and on September 28.

This is the largest National Tree Day to date.

Trees provide important environmental, social and health benefits for everyone.

More than 6300 trees were planted on National Tree Day in 2023.

BMO and Tree Canada are partnering for the third consecutive year
