ELA receives generous donation

A $20 million donation is being used to set up the Canada Freshwater Challenge Fund.

A total of seven agencies involved in freshwater conservation and research are receiving funding, including the IISD Experimental Lakes Area between Kenora and Vermillion Bay.

The donation is from philanthropist John McCutcheon.

The ELA says it will use the money to help set up the Center for Climate Change Learning.

The Nature Conservancy of Canada and the World Wildlife League Canada are two other receipients of the bequest.
