Canada picks up bronze in men’s swimming

Ilya Kharun has won Canada’s seventh medal at the Paris Olympics.

The 19-year-old picked up bronze in the men’s 200-metre butterfly final.

Our country now has two gold, two silver and three bronze.

It’s the first medal in men’s swimming for Canada since London 2012.

Summer McIntosh advanced to Thursday’s final in the women’s 200-metre butterfly, she’ll go for her third medal.

Over in the the women’s 200-metre breaststroke, Kelsey Wog and Sydney Pickrem of Halifax qualified for the semifinals.

Felix Auger-Aliassime advanced to the quarterfinal in men’s singles tennis, it will be the best result for a Canadian ever.
