Sioux Narrows hosts the annual Arts Festival

A busy weekend with three major festivals in northwestern Ontario.

In addition to the Blueberry Festival in Sioux Lookout and Shake the Lake in Kenora, the annual Sioux Narrows Arts Festival takes place starting this afternoon.

There are a couple of live presentations today.

The artist showcase features Matthew Bazilewich and the fishing lure-making presentation in the Sportfishing Centre starting at 2:00.

At 4:00, Jennifer Caie, Pat Sernyk and local artists will do a live painting and sculpting demonstration and other artist activities.

The annual Art Show and Sale will take place in the Curling Rink.

Admission is by donation and will take place from 10 am till 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be a children’s arts and crafts zone.

The Northern Ontario Sportfishing Center will be hosting concerts both Saturday and Sunday as well.
