Premier making return visit to northwestern Ontario

Premier Doug Ford is making another visit to northwestern Ontario.

He is scheduled to be in Thunder Bay on Friday.

Ford will be joined by Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development David Piccini.

The Premier’s Office says they will make an announcement in the afternoon.

No details regarding the nature of the announcement are revealed.

The visit marks Ford’s third to northwestern Ontario in the last four months.

In April, he stopped in Oliver-Paipoonge to announce the connections of five more First Nation communities to the Wataynikaneyap Power Transmission project before visiting

Thunder Bay to reward the city for meeting its housing targets.

Two months ago, the Premier was in Greenstone to renew economic development agreements with four area First Nations.
