Lifesavers dinner continues to support the Hospital Foundation

The Lifesavers Dinner and Auction continues to be one of the biggest fundraisers for the Lake of the Woods Hospital Foundation.

This year, the dinner held at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on Saturday raised $420,000.

Funds from the dinner will be used to purchase a number of pieces of equipment for the local hospital.

That includes:

-Patient Lift Replacement throughout the hospital (Physio – entire Hospital)

-4 Hospital beds & Mattresses (3E)

-ECT Equipment (Mental Health)

-ECG Machine (Diagnostic Imaging)

-Probes for Ultrasound (Diagnostic Imaging)

-Electrosurgical Cautery Unit (Ambulatory Programs)

-Automated Tissue Cassette Printer (Laboratory)

-Central Line Sim Manikin (Education)

Any additional funds will go towards the hospital’s new mammography unit.
