Pickle Lake to get new land ambulance base

A new land ambulance base is being constructed in Pickle Lake.

A ground-breaking ceremony took place Tuesday afternoon for the community service center.

CAO of the Kenora District Services Board Henry Wall says it’s will not only act as an Emergency Services base, but it will also offer accommodations for paramedic staff.

The new center will also have a training center and office space.

He says the project is a partnership with the KDSB, the Town of Pickle Lake, and the federal and provincial governments.
