OPP lay drug trafficking charges in North Cariou Lake

A 29 year old North Caribou Lake First Nation’s resident faces drug trafficking charges.

She was arrested following a routine checkpoint inspection in that community.

The OPP say they were contacted by checkpoint guards to conduct a vehicle inspection.

The woman faces charges of trafficking opioids and cocaine.

She has since been released from custody and will appear in court on October 10th.
