Kenora Agricultural Festival opens Thursday

A section of 1st Street South in front of the Curling Club is going to be closed to traffic.

It’s to get ready for the Kenora Agricultural Festival.

Jennifer Kardal is one of the directors and says they will be judging all kinds of things.

“We judge vegetables, baking, photography, sewing, arts and crafts,” says Kardal.

The street closure from 7th to 8th avenues south will last until Sunday, but Kardal says the actual Agriculture Fair will start up Thursday evening and run until Saturday.

“It’s happening at the curling club and something amazing this year, the midway is back!”

Other attractions are the horseshoe tournament, Charles the Clown with balloon animals and face painting, bouncy castles, Ryan Price and his magic show and dinosaurs.
