Suspected outbreak at Pinecrest

There has been a suspected outbreak at the Pinecrest Home for the Aged.

It’s in Unit 4, with just one person identified.

But as a result, a number of measures have been put into place to prevent any spread.

That includes mandatory medical masks to be worn at all times in resident areas by staff, visitors, vendors and service contractors.

Large group activities have also been cancelled for Unit 4.

General visitors are being permitted, but are required to wear full PPE if visiting any resident that is in isolation.

Pinecrest doesn’t identify what the outbreak might be, but it says there has been an increase of COVID in the community.
