One person killed in collision near Dryden

One person is dead following an overnight collision near Dryden.

The OPP say the accident took place around 2:00 this morning when a tractor-trailor unit collided with a passenger vehicle.

Police, fire and emergency medical personnel responded.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, but the driver of the semi did not sustain any injuries.

The OPP’s North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and OPP Collision Re-Constructionists are helping out with the investigation.

The Trans-Canada has since been re-opened to two-way traffic.
