Many are donating to the family of Matthew Gaudreau.
A GoFundMe account says over $530,000 has been raised to pay for funeral expenses and to help his pregnant wife Madeline.
Gaudreau and his brother, Blue Jackets star Johnny Gaudreau were killed last week as they were struck by a drunk driver in New Jersey.
The brothers were in town to stand as groomsmen in their sister’s wedding.
A tribute for Johnny outside the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary has been growing, he played nine seasons for the Flames.
