Gold X 3 for Team Canada’s para-athletes in Paris

Team Canada is golden for the third time at the Paris Paralympic Games.

British Columbia’s Greg Stewart got the gold in the shot put F46 on Wednesday

Thirty-five-year-old Cody Fournie from B.C. won gold in the men’s T51 200 metre wheelchair racing event Tuesday.

Canada picked up its first gold medal at the games in the fifth day of competition when para swimmer Nicholas Bennett placed first in the men’s 100-metre breaststroke SB14.

Canada now has 15 medals – three gold, five silver and seven bronze.

Meanwhile, in wheelchair basketball, the Senior Men’s National Team will compete in Thursday’s semifinals following a 79-67 victory over the Netherlands.

Canada will play in the semis against the United States at 3:30 p.m. ET.
