Small tornado confirmed in NWO

A small tornado has been confirmed in northwestern Ontario.

The Northern Tornadoes Project confirmed one touched down on August 31st in the area of Marks Lake west of Thunder Bay.

It started out as a waterspout on Marks Lake.

It then came ashore causing damage as at EFO tornado.

It dissipated shortly afterwards.

The tornado was confirmed using video footage.

EFO has the lowest windspeeds in the Enhanced Fujita Scale.
