A drug bust in the remote community of Kashechewan has led to the seizure of about $30,000 in illegal drugs.
Nishnawbe Aski Police Service says a 20-year-old man from the community was taken into custody at the community’s airport.
Methamphetamine pills, crystal meth and items used for drug trafficking were discovered.
The man has since been released and scheduled back in court at a later date.
Police say the arrest was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity within Kashechewan.
