The federal Conservative leader is promising to scrap the federal tax on new homes.
Pierre Poilievre said the move would apply to all homes sold for under $1 million.
He claims it would spark 30,000 extra homes built each year across the country.
According to the Conservatives, the tax cut would save $40,000 in mortgage payments on an $800,000 house.
Poilievre said he would also push provinces to remove their sales tax from new home sales.
