Eagles lose to the Pipers in WHSFL semifinal

Just one team from northwestern Ontario still standing in the AAA division playoffs of the Winnipeg High School Football League.

The Dryden Eagles went down to defeat yesterday in the semifinals to the John Taylor Pipers 25-12.

The Eagles trailed by just one touchdown with two minutes left to play, the Pipers, the number one ranked team heading into the playoffs, scored a major to put the game away.

The only team from NorWOSSA left standing is the Fort Frances Muskies, and they play their semifinal this afternoon against the second ranked Tec Voc Hornets.
