Another gold mine in the Red Lake area is closer to being opened.
First Mining has announed it’s completed the Environment Assessment and Environmental Impact Statement for the mine.
Now there’s a public comment period for both provincial and federal approvals.
First Mining expects to have to entire Environmental Assessment process complete by the end of next year.
When done, the mining company expects over 43 thousand person-years of employment and more than 2 billion in government revenue.
