A standing-room audience for Kenora’s Remembrance Day Service.
It was held at the NeChee Friendship Center auditorium (formerly the Royal Canadian Legion).
President of the Kenora Legion Jason Lava presided over the ceremonies and gave the opening and closing remarks.
Once again Pastor Cathy Giroux gave the invocation and scripture reading.
In addition to two minutes silence to commemorate those who have died in World War I and II, and other conflicts and peacekeeping missions carried out by the Canadian Military, Lee Morris played the last post and the Rouse.
As part of the service, there was a native symbolic Remembrance with the Wap-kay-binese Singers and drum group.
Afterwards, wreaths were laid at the Cenotaph at the NeChee Friendship Center and because the weather was fine, it was followed by a march to the Cenotaph at Memorial Park.
