Both of St. Thomas Aquinas’ senior court sport teams are heading to southern Ontario this week for the All-Ontario championships.
The Saints girls’ basketball team and the TA boys’ volleyball team advanced by winning the NWOSSA championships last week in two straight games.
The St. Thomas Aquinas girls traveled to Manitouwadge and defeated the Wolverines 64-48 in the first game and 48-29 in the second game.
The Saints boys’ volleyball team hosted the Wolverines and won both games in straight sets. 25 – 18; 25 – 16; 25 – 12 in the first and 25 – 20; 25 – 19; 25 – 20 in the second.
The TA girls now head to Breslau, and the St. Thomas Aquinas boys are in Chatham for the OFSAA “A” championships from November 21st to 23rd.
