No injures after fire at Dryden mill

No injuries after a fire at the mill in Dryden.

The call came in at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday night.

It started from a piece of machinery at Dryden Fibre Canada.

In total, 17 Dryden firefighters responded to the blaze and were able to put it out quickly.

“I would like to personally thank the members of the Dryden Fire Service as well as the Dryden Fibre ERT team for their outstanding efforts,” said Fire Chief Chris Wood. “Their professionalism and teamwork ensured a swift and effective response to this incident.”

Crews were able to head back to the station around 9:35 p.m. after checking over the facility.
