Police seeking assistance locating federal offender

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

The accused violated their statutory release.

Brandon Roy is described as a 30-year-old Indigenous man who is six feet tall weighing roughly 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He is serving a two-year and one-day sentence for:

  • Robbery-Armed robbery
  • Assault
  • Fail to comply with order at large (three counts)
  • Fail to comply with the Ontario Sex Offender Registry (SOIRA Reg) Order
  • Fail to attend court (two counts)
  • Theft under $5,000 (five counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

The offender is known to frequent Timmins, Thunder Bay, and Kenora.

Statutory release is a type of conditional release that allows offenders to serve what is left of their sentence in the community.

Offenders are expected to regularly report to parole officers and follow conditions.
