Sioux Lookout ready to start planning for long term care home

The Town of Sioux Lookout is one step closer to getting a long-awaited long term care home.

The province is giving the Sioux Lookout Meno-Ya-Win Health Center $2.5 million for a planning grant.

The goal is to build a 96-bed facility.

Meno-Ya-Win says the grant will allow them to go from the planning to construction.

It adds the funding will complete the required planning, and design development and prepare tender-ready documents for the project.

The new build will be part of the Health Care center.
