Alzheimer Society closes year with fundraising initiatives

The Alzheimer’s Society of the Kenora and Rainy River Districts has embarked on a couple of end-of-year fundraisers.

Rossanna Tomashowski is executive director and says they are selling Treasured Tree Ornaments.

“We provide the card, and it says in ‘memory of’ or ‘in honour of’ and we’ll put them up…display them in our office,” says Tomashowski.

“Or some people pick them up and say they want to give it to them in person if it’s ‘in honour of’ or ‘in memory’ of their loved ones.”

She adds they also have 50/50 tickets available for their cash draw.

All proceeds will go to support their programs in the districts.

The Treasured Tree Ornaments and 50/50 tickets can be purchased by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) at: info@alzheimerkrr.com
