The OPP have confirmed that three people died in a two-vehicle collision early last Friday morning on Highway 17.
The accident involved two semi-tractor trailer units, which collided just west of Ignace around 3:30.
Police have not released any names, and charges will not be laid.
The Trans-Canada was closed for over 12 hours as a result of the accident.
