OSPCA transfers 10 dogs from Lac Seul for adoption

Ten dogs from the Lac Seul First Nation are now in southern Ontario ready for adoption.

The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) says this is the first transfer of hounds this year.

Seven of the dogs ended up at the OSPCA’s Leeds and Grenville Animal Shelter.

The other three dogs were taken to the Humane Society of the Durham region for adoption.

Last year the OSPCA transferred 225 dogs from the north to southern Ontario and sent 64,000 pounds of pet food to the north.
