NorWOSSA hockey finals set

The NorWOSSA hockey championships are taking place over the next two days in Kenora.

The Fort Frances boys have already advanced to tomorrow’s final as they downed the Red Lake Rams in a semi-final.

In the first girl’s semi-final, the Fort Frances Muskies downed the Dryden Eagles 5-2.

The Muskies scored two goals within two minutes late in the third period to ice the victory.

In the other semifinal, the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints dispatched the Beaver Brae Broncos and will face the Muskies in Saturday’s final at 12:30.

This evening the Dryden Eagles won the other boy’s semifinal with a 5-1 victory over the Saints and will now play Fort Frances at 3:30.

The games are being played at the Moncrief Construction Sports Center.
