Dryden council approves site plan for new hotel

The City of Dryden could soon have another hotel.

Council has approved a site plan for the building.

Harrison says the hotel fills a much-needed void in the community.

“This will be quite a welcome addition to our community, having another hotel here,” Harrison told council at their open meeting.

“Lots of demand in town, so quite exciting.”

Harrison adds the site plan is quite practical as well.

“I did notice that the location of the hotel within the property changed and from reading the documentation they moved it to accommodate it, or place it on bedrock, which provides the best foundation that you could ask for.”

The Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation is proposing to build a three-story hotel on Government Street.
