Sioux Lookout OPP arrest 5 in two separate drug busts

A 27-year-old man has been arrested by the Sioux Lookout OPP following a drug bust.

Police say a search warrant was executed on Tuesday on King Street.

Over 80 grams of suspected cocaine was seized, along with Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking.

In addition to trafficking, he has also been charged with possession and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

He’s being held at the Kenora Jail pending a court appearance today.

Meanwhile, the OPP in Sioux Lookout have arrested four people on drug trafficking charges following a disturbance on Miller Crescent.

The incident took place on February 24, when police responded to a call for service.

Police seized a number of illicit substances including oxycodone and crack cocaine, Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking.

A youth, two Sioux Lookout men and an 18-year-old from Toronto have each been charged with two counts of drug trafficking.

Two are being held at the Kenora Jail for a court appearance and two have been released and will appear in court at a later date.
