Man arrested after thefts from vehicles in Kenora

A man has been charged after police responded to reports of suspicious activity and thefts from vehicles in Kenora.

Kenora OPP say officers were called to South Park Drive after reports of a man attempting to access parked vehicles. CCTV footage from the area was provided to police.

While patrolling, officers noticed a pickup truck’s interior lights turning on and found a suspect removing items from inside the vehicle.

A 35-year-old man from Sioux Lookout was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including trespassing at night, theft under five thousand dollars, possession of stolen property, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Police are reminding residents to secure their vehicles and report any suspicious activity. Those with additional information can contact Kenora OPP or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
