Sudden death Monday in Dryden prompts investigation


A post-mortem exam is scheduled for later this week to determine their cause of death.


Officers with the Dryden OPP are investigating the circumstances around a sudden death in the community on Monday.

Police say on August 29 at 10:30 a.m., officers and paramedics with Northwest Emergency Medical Services responded to an unresponsive individual at a residence on Kirkpatrick Avenue.

Despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased. Their identity was not revealed, and investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.

The investigation is continuing with a post-mortem examination scheduled for later this week to determine the cause of death. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
