Local bowling team wins bronze at nationals

A bowling team with members from Balmertown and Dryden have earned a bronze medal at the Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers Association Inter-Provincial Nationals in Saskatoon.

The team earned the berth by finishing first in the 2025 Northern Ontario POA Classic.

The four-member team included Kenzie Korzinski and Heather Madussi of Dryden, Myles Hall and Scooter Bowman of Balmertown, and coached by Tim Gadd of Dryden

They competed against 16 other teams across the country in a 16-game round robin format.

They placed third overall heading into the playoffs and defeated Southern Ontario in the Bronze Medal Match.
